Perimenopause and Menopause can often be a deeply unsettling time for women. For some, who have already gone through a dark night of the soul, it can be a time of final decluttering and stripping down to the bare bones all things that are no longer needed.

For those women, it is deeply satisfying, invigorating and a confirmation of all that is right with their direction.

For others, the changes in your limbic system (the emotional regulator of your brain) is like stirring the bottom of a crystal clear lake, only to find the bottom is brown and murky and is coming to the surface.

If we are honest with ourselves and realise that this is THE major chance in life to reevaluate where we are, and what we want for ourselves, then this can be akin to planting the lake with the most amazing lotus flowers. They will settle the water, purify it and produce the most amazing and peaceful blooms.

But only if we do the work.

As Clarissa points out, the women that reclaim their life are the ones who reap the rewards. And we all know that when a woman feels alive, she lights up the world around her, and the whole world benefits.
